Shepherding Ministry
Prayer Ministry
Prayer Team
Sunday morning after sermon, volunteers stand on either side of the auditorium, prepared to pray with anyone who requests prayer.
During the week, prayer for the requests from the congregation from Sunday morning.
Pray for needs of people in the congregation as the need arise. (For example; when a prayer shawl or knotted blanket is presented to someone, or when someone requests prayer and anointing with oil during the week.
Participate in the monthly hour of prayer at PV. This will be held on the second Tuesday of the month from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.
Prayer Shawl and Knotted Blankets
Prayer shawls are knitted or crocheted and are available for those who are ill, have had surgery, or are at a traumatic time in their life. One of the prayer team members meets with them in their home or where they are living and prays with them.
Knotted blankets are in several sizes and given to children, teenagers, or adults if they are recovering from an accident or illness; or are at a traumatic time in their life. Prayer team members will meet with the family and pray during the time of giving the blanket. There are baby blankets for the times when a couple may be waiting for an adoption, or their baby is ill in the hospital.
Creating the prayer shawls and knotted fleece blankets gives volunteers an avenue to show support to others and demonstrates the love of God when illness or tragedy can take away the joy and hope in someone’s life.
